Summary

The project hails from writer and executive producer Felicia Pride. “A Different World’s” original series ran for six seasons on NBC starting in 1987. It followed Denise Huxtable and her new classmates at Hillman College.

The show follows in the footsteps of another Carsey-Werner series, “That ’70s Show,” which landed a sequel series on Netflix in 2023. It also resembles the format of Peacock’s “Bel-Air,’ for which Pride served as a supervising producer on Season 3.

If it's anything like the others... it's gonna be crap.

I'm really hoping you're wrong! This show has always had a soft spot for me.

It's certainly possible. These reboots just don't have the greatest track record. I'll give that there are some that did well!

I'm really getting tired of these reboots. There's really nothing new anymore and everything has to stupidly be "an IP".

I'm so happy that stars are starting to speak out about how studios are too chicken shit these days to make properties on new IPs

Much respect for Vince Vaughn calling this shit out. It's made everything boring.
