My sister mistakenly sent $10,000 to a wrong account using a service Wise intending my Chase account. We contacted Wise about the error, they told us to wait that the money would bounce back. It never did, it took persistent calls and telling them that it went into another valid chase account before they initiated a recall. The recall was unsuccessful as the recipient was not responding (It seems the person is already spending [or spent] it).
Wise is saying the only way to get our money back is via legal or Police. All I have is the wrong account number where the money was sent to. They are not helping with who received the money. How and who do I sue?
The money was sent from the UK and the Chase accounts in the USA.
Chase won't help me call the recipient to return my money either.
