Summary

Apple announced changes to its notarization service for the Mac. The changes were supposed to roll out starting in 2021. There were concerns the company was using the notarized process to collect data.

No word on when they’ll release a complete opt-out of online notarization checks. All references on the support document regarding the feature were completely scrubbed sometime in the past year.

Tons of data they keep on your usage and potentially hampering your device with outages.
