Really thankful to my parents for being able to pay for half my tuition. Still had a lot of loans, but was much better than not. Can't fathom asking them to take loans for me.

I'm just at the point that I don't know what we do. We tried giving everyone loans to even it out and it led here.

There needs to be limits on what the total amount should be and how much should be covered by loans

It was when I went about a decade ago. My loans aren't awful but I guess we're smack dab in the crisis for them so that probably wasn't everyone.

Definitely anecdotal. I know tons of people that are just choosing not to pay cause they can't afford it.

I hate knowing the fact that boomers in the 70s were able to pay for a year of college with a job over the summer...
