AWS had removed Snowmobile from its website as of March, CNBC has confirmed. The company used the truck to help customers speedily transfer data to Amazon Web Services facilities. AWS launched Snowmobile in November 2016. Each Snowmobile had a capacity of 100 petabytes on hard disk drives. Clients generally find that sending data to AWS online is more economical than using Snowmobile.
