CONTEXT: 23M - I live in El Paso, Texas, and still live with my parents. The cost of living here is relatively average (between $700-$1200 for an apartment without roommates). I don’t have kids or any big responsibilities and I’m single. I recently graduated college and have since found a stable job where I would be making $28k a year and have heard very good things about career growth at my company. Unfortunately, I currently don’t have any savings. My parents have also been paying for my car since they got it for me and they said they would continue to take care of the payments and insurance for one more year or at least until I get a promotion. Other than that, I will remain on their phone and internet plan. They also said I could remain on their entertainment accounts (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, etc). I have gotten rid of my credit card debt and now the only debt I have are my student loans, which are only $20k and with low monthly payments. To summarize, the only major expenses I would be dealing with if I were to move out in the immediate future would be rent, groceries, student debt, and other small-medium expenses. Is it possible for me to move out of my parents’ house? Thank you.
