I'm getting married in a month, not really knowledgable about what this means for my taxes moving forward, if anyone can kind of give me some insight.
We are in Tx if that helps. I work full-time but ideally would like to go to part time when I move in with him and his family (so we won't have my rent). He is technically unemployed, he is a main caretaker for his mom, since he lives with his parents to do that, he doesn't have expenses, so that's been in place of an income for him.
I assumed since he doesn't have an income, it would be best to file my taxes separately once married, but just learned that means I wouldn't qualify for ACA supplements if I do. What else should I know about filing separately or not
