Hello. I'm a young adult and just started my first full-time job out of college this past Fall. I've previously done my taxes on my own using free tax filing software and just hoped that I wasn't doing it wrong.
I received a letter by mail sometime earlier this year that I just opened now. I didn't think it was important - I thought it was another company advertising their filing software. But now that I've looked at it, I think I have to fill out the form and pay something? I'm not good with numbers or understanding how the movement of money/capital operate in the US. The world of taxes, credit, loans, finance - anything money-related is difficult for me to grasp. I very much avoid anything in those realms. I don't have a credit card for this reason. All the terms, processes, numbers confuse me. I've long suspected I have dyscalculia, though I'm not sure if that applies here.
Anyways, the letter is from Berkheimer Tax Innovations. The form is called "Taxpayer annual local earned income tax return F-1". Am I meant to complete this? What is the completion of this form meant to look like? Like, what the fuck does this shit say? It's in a language I don't understand. I don't want to complete it incorrectly and be charged for it or risk legal punishment.
Here is the form. If someone could please explain it to me in the simplest way, I would be very grateful.
