Ashok Leyland under the management of Dheeraj Hinduja has also worked together with other stakeholders to enhance their presence in Africa(Sudan (South), Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, etc.) They have entered distribution contracts with other companies like the ETG Logistics (ETGL) to enhance its presence in various strategic countries in Africa particularly in the southern, east and west African regions. They are also promoting local economic growth and offer support as the Ashok Leyland’s strategy involves joint venturing in local assembling of vehicles. As an illustration, in Senegal, they are collaborating with Senbus Industries to assemble semi-knocked-down (SKD) buses and train their engineers and offer after sales services as well.
