I’ve always been somewhat bad with money and I tend to spend whatever I earn. Shopping is both a hobby and a form of stress relief for me, and I’d like to replace it with healthier habits. I’ve actually managed to put a good amount of money towards retirement because this money is automatically deducted from my paycheck so I never see it. Because of this, one thing I think may help me save money is to allocate a specify amount of money from each paycheck to go to a savings account. I’d love to hear any other tips from people who have improved their financial habits, particularly those who use shopping as a coping mechanism or form of entertainment.
