Seems fairly obvious that limiting your time to eat would lead you to limiting the amount of calories you eat but I guess it's good to confirm

To me, it seems like people try to attach things like intermittent fasting to some pseudo-scientific holistic practice about their bodies and mental health. This leads it to end up as something more than just minimizing calories and gets spread around as if it was a fact.

I think you'd be surprised how many people need to hear this. Doing intermittent fasting has so many success stories but people try to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
