Jasprit Bumrah will not play in the fifth Test against England at the Oval. The decision has been taken by the medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) keeping in mind Bumra's fitness. India is trailing 1-2 in the series and wants to level the series by winning the Oval Test.
Bumrah bowled 33 overs at Old Trafford, the most in a single innings in his career. But due to the slow and flat pitch of the Oval, as well as Bumrah's heavy workload in the previous Test, it was decided to give him rest. Akashdeep's return and Arshdeep Singh can make debut.
