Larian Studios Won't Make Baldur's Gate 3 DLC, Expansions, or Baldur's Gate 4 - IGN
Not shocked by this. WotC is crazy money hungry right now so licensing would be a nightmare. They now have the name recognition that means they don't need WotC, D&D, Forgotten Realms, or Baldur's Gate to make sales. They have their own IPs and will probably see DOS 3 next would be my guess.
