Nobel Economist Say Trumps policies will make inflation worse

Summary

Nobel Prize-winning economists are warning that Trump’s proposals wouldn’t just fail to fix inflation — they would make matters worse. The letter, organized by famed economist Joseph Stiglitz, argued there are valid reasons to worry the Trump agenda will “reignite” inflation. “The outcome of this election will have economic repercussions for years, and possibly decades, to come,” the economists wrote in the letter.

In a new poll, more than half of Americans back President Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord. The majority of Americans also back the president's decision not to raise the U.S. debt ceiling. The poll also found that more than two-thirds of Americans support the idea of raising the U.S. borrowing limit.

If history is any indicator, the current fiscal conservatives crying about any spending from Biden would have no issues with this.

I wish everybody would recognize that we need to pay for all these things somehow and stop kicking it all down the road.

I think this could solve our biggest problems these days but it's asking a lot to get people out of their tribal nature

Seems like with everything, it all needs to get worse first

nearly twice as much as President Joe Biden has so far in office

That is a crazy stat! Why is this not emphasized more? All I hear is about how much Biden is spending.

It's being more emphasized now by a recent report that highlights how more than double was spent by the Trump administration.

I'm figuring you're talking about how it messed up putting Obama instead of Trump in the second paragraph about the climate accord. Looks like I need to work on training the model a bit more.

Should have pinged me to fix this sooner!
