So I'm looking at refinancing my EV I bought less than a year ago, got 9% apr even though I have a good credit score because no one would accept my signed offer letter as proof of income for my new job I needed a car for. Anyways I moved to Texas and already registered my car and had to pay the outrageous EV registration fee on top of the regular registration which cost me nearly $500. I want to refinance but from the little information I can find online I can't tell if I would have to reregister my car I just registered a month ago and pay all of these fees all over again. For reference I bought the car about 8 months ago. If anybody has any idea of what kinds of fees I can expect to pay in Texas so I can figure out if it's worth it to refinance or to just throw as much money as possible at my loan instead.
