Hey everyone, I’m a 29yr old mom of two, 7 and 3. I got divorced last year and previous to that I was a stay at home mom, I was in a financial abusive and controlling relationship and got out. I had a job at the time of our divorce, and ended up losing it but got another one.
I’m on SNAP, and I also graduated a 3 month school program for laser. The money for this job is amazing, however it’s the matter of starting out that is the difficult part in order to get there. I have always been great with money, however as of March I got hit left and right by life and can’t figure out how to pay rent next month without over drafting myself this month. I have been applying to other jobs to get a part time but no one is contacting me back. I don’t know what else to do and I have tried 211, government, etc. I’ve already contacted cc companies for their hardship programs to help bring down the cost of payments. I am now considering a personal loan but I’m scared of owing even more money. I don’t know what to do here.
Any advice on where to go from here? I’m at $0 in my account right now and I feel like I can’t breathe because I don’t know what else to do. I budget and everything but I can’t seem to catch a break.
