Hi, I am desperately trying to get my finances in order. I'm doing ok but I really need a better way to do it other than writing everything down manually. I have tried many apps (YNAB, Goodbudget, Pocketguard, Everydollar). I like the concept of zero based budget, and YNAB's flexibility, but in practice I'm finding it very hard to use and is maybe too advanced for me right now. Everydollar, on the other hand, felt like it didn't offer enough (the categories and app layout itself). I feel like nothing is working for me.
I'd like to just do a spreadsheet and I have found templates but I feel I need to customize them and add a line or two of expenses/bills/etc. but I don't know how to do that without breaking the template.
I'm struggling for anything. I had used Mint in the past and liked it, but thats not an option now unfortunately. Any help is greatly appreciated.
