Summary

When rocks from space enter the Earth's atmosphere, they emit a light that can only be seen by the naked eye. This light is known as a reflection of the sun. When is the next meteor shower? The Eta Aquarid meteor shower peaks in early May with best viewing in the Southern Hemisphere. The Lyrid meteor showers appear brightest on cloudless nights when the moon wanes.
