Still think the biggest change we can accomplish is removing the coupling of insurance with your employment

That sounds like a no brainer and ridiculous that nobody pushes for it. It makes no sense to couple them this badly. Employers can still pay for your insurance if they want but it shouldn't cost me 10x the amount when not employed.
