This congresswoman was born and raised in Ukraine. She just voted against aid for her homeland

Summary

Rep. Victoria Spartz is the first and only Ukrainian-born member of Congress. She is locked in a tough reelection fight in the May 7 GOP primary. Spartz says she is “kind of appalled” at the notion that her heritage should dictate support.

Spartz, 45, immigrated to the U.S. in 2000 after meeting her husband from Indiana on a train. Goodrich, who represents the wealthy Indianapolis suburb of Hamilton County, outspent Spartz by $1.9 million. Trump has not made an endorsement in the 5th district this year.

While I don't like R's in general these days, the woman has a point. Just because she's Ukrainian-born doesn't mean she's just going to blindly support anything to do with Ukraine. If anything, I respect her more for this position though I do disagree with her denying support for Ukraine.

The main problem with social media honestly. There is this ever increasing mentality that silence means culpability and that what might be a minority sentiment is amplify by the perceived vastness of the internet.
