Work from home is tough!!

Working from home, especially when far away from co-workers is really getting isolating and tough for me.

There is a lack of in-person interaction and casual social connections. In an office, I was able to easily vent to a friendly coworker about a fight with my boss or catch up over lunch. At home, I miss out on that outlet.

Yeah, I think humans are social by nature and currently it's difficult to both have a job and a robust social life outside of work so work becomes one of the only places people regularly get a chance to be social. This varies of course, there are introverts for example, but broadly speaking I think most people need to be with other people at least some of the time. If you have to work at home, there's like a social vacuum for you if you can't find it elsewhere in other ways. The situation is really rough :(

Won't deny it's really frustrating at times when I have no one to vent out with.....and things cannot be explained to family...

sometimes it is tough but it also have so many good sides . Like at that time we can also spend some time with our family . And also we know how to manage our work and personal life equally.

I don't think I could ever go back to working in office. The freedom and ability to focus is just too good for me. That said, the people I worked with have always tried to bake in some socializing (a weekly happy hour, 10 minutes just to chat daily, etc) to get these things you feel you're missing and not have every interaction be about work.
